CHI Heads 2V 190cc 300cfm Cleveland - SB Ford Alloy Heads

Following our win in the 2004 Popular Hot Roding Engine Masters Challenge with Jon Kaase using both CHI heads and 4500 Dominator Manifold, we set about looking for a suitable base for the development of our 2V & 4V Street Master Cylinder Heads.

In order to develop intake ports of equal calibre to our world renowned 3V cylinder heads, we wanted to work with a company that not only had the very latest computer aided development and testing equipment, but a proven track record with the famous Cleveland power plant.

CHI could look no further than Australia’s leading CNC porting experts, Kostecki Engine Centre In Perth Western Australia, to help with required research and development.

Kostecki Engine Centre is one of the few companies out side of North America to have a complete facility under one roof including 5 axis simultaneous CNC Port machining, Super flow 901 Computerized engine dyno, Superflow 1020 Computerized flow bench.

Most importantly though when looking for Research and Development results, we wanted a proven Cleveland powered performer from whom to draw experience. Team Kostecki campaign their own very successful Cleveland powered Mustang drag racing in the extremely competitive Super Stock G/gas Category. Their Mustang was the first in its class to run in the 8.30s and have set the national record at 8.44et at over 157mph with a single 750 carb and cast iron 4Vs making over 700 naturally aspirated horsepower from just 350ci !!!.

By utilizing KEC's extensive track experience as well as in house development facilities, CHI is proud to announce the all new Street Master 2V cylinder head.

At just 190cc in port volume the all new 2V flows a massive 307cfm at just .650”lift, with 300cfm at .600lift (figures taken from as cast head with a 2.100” valve), taking the 2V head to a new level of performance, never before available from a standard intake port location and size.

CHI Heads 3V 225cc 340cfm (700+hp) SB Alloy Heads

"The all new 3V 225cc cylinder heads replace the older 218cc heads and are suited for use on competition and serious street engines of up to 400+ cubic inches in size and making up to and in excess of 650+hp. The new 225cc feature the same minimum cross section (2.4”) as the 218cc intake ports are designed to deliver maximum power and torque, for those people not concerned by RPM limitations, but rather wanting to make the most possible torque and horsepower for their competition to wild street power plants.

With just a modest increase of 7ccs, and with no change to the minimum cross section, we have managed to extract 340cfm from our new 225cc port without hurting the all important low lift numbers. Again the emphasis was on keeping the port as small as possible whilst increasing airflow as much as possible. No other Small Block Ford - Cleveland cylinder head on the market today has the same airflow per CC of runner volume.

By utilizing the advantage of a taller than standard, 4V intake port height, and downsizing the port to a mere 225ccs, we have created an intake port capable of producing in excess of 700hp, whilst still having the ability to make exceptional torque along the way. Just take a look at Jon Kaase”s winning entry in the 2004 Engine Masters competition. The engine had a peak of 700hp horsepower at 6500rpm and peak torque of 620ft/lb. All of this on straight pump gas and by a mere 6500 rpm.

Just like its predecessor (the 218cc) the 3V 225cc cylinder heads intake ports have .600"" radiuses in all 4 corners, riding the port of any stagnant air and further promoting a more complete and uniform air flow pattern through the intake port, which ultimately lessens the chance of fuel dropping out of suspension from the air and promotes excellent Wet Flow Quality.

Coupled with our matching high velocity 3V 4150 Holley and 4500 Dominator intake manifolds, (as also used by Jon Kaase”s winning 2004 Engine Masters Entry), the package is the ultimate choice for the wild street car and or competition enthusiasts wanting maximum torque and horsepower from their Small Block Fords. Our manifolds come ready with cast Fuel Injection - Nitrous bosses. With only minor machining our manifolds can be easily adapted to either nitrous or fuel injection, giving our customers the ease and flexibility to be able to upgrade as they wish.

CHI Heads 3V 258cc 370cfm (760hp) SB Alloy Heads

The all new 3V 250cc Race Cylinder Head is the ultimate Cleveland cylinder head for your Cleveland - Small block Ford. With revised intake and exhaust ports these heads are designed for the most serious of engine builders seeking a maximum effort from their Cleveland and or Small Block Ford. The new intake port flows a massive 370cfm as cast whilst the exhaust port pushes into the mid 250cfm range, whilst retaining all the standard Cleveland valve train. The intake port is .100"taller than our 218cc runner and has a minimum cross sectional area of 2.8", whilst the exhaust port is in the same location as our 3V 218cc head (.400" raised over standard Cleveland exhaust ports). This head utilises 2.190"intake valves and 1.650" exhaust valves.

CHI Heads 4V 228cc 325cfm Bare Cleveland - SB Ford Alloy Heads

Finally a true factory style 4V alloy head for the Cleveland enthusiasts. At CHI we realise that not everyone wants to upgrade their intake manifolds, so we went about creating a 4V head for the Cleveland enthusiasts. Designed around our 3V 218cc intake port we spent many hours re shaping the entry of the 218cc port to accommodate factory and aftermarket 4V manifolds like the Torker, Strip Dominator etc etc. Careful attention was paid during development of the opening of the port, so as to not increase the volume of the port any more than necessary and keep the velocity as high as possible. Essentially we have created a full size 4V head with a port volume smaller than most "small port" epoxied 4V heads! The new head features the same standard height "UNI" exhaust port as our 2V head allowing the use of either 2V or 4V headers. The intake opening is as per the original factory 4V heads and will accept all factory manifolds. The 4V heads come machined to accept 2.190"Intake valves and 1.650" Exhaust valves and can be machined to accept 1.710"on request and at no extra charge.

With 325cfm of intake airflow and easy compatibility with existing parts the all new 4V head makes for the most economical horsepower and torque upgrade available for the trusty 4V headed. At just 228cc in port volume the all new 4V flows a massive 325cfm at  .700”lift, taking the 4V head to a new level of performance, never before available from a standard intake port location and size.
