GF 2000 - Clutchless

The GF-2000 transmission is used solely for clutchless applications. This transmission is ideal for, but not limited to, Pro Stock, Pro Stock Truck, Competition Eliminator, or any of the various NMCA, NMRA, or other 10.5 inch tire muscle car applications. This transmission features a more internal bearing supports than any other racing transmission on the market today. Generally, the GF-2000 is used as a 5 speed, but it can also be build as a 4 speed depending upon the desired application. The GF-2000 and the GF-5R have many of the same applications where a clutchless drag racing transmission is needed.

The most significant advantage of the GF-2000, however, is its' strength. While the GF-5R iscapable of handling 1,300 or more horsepower, depending upon application, the GF-2000 can handle approximately 25-30 percent more power in the same vehicle. There is also a greater selection of ratios available for the GF-2000. While most enthusiasts do not need this extra horsepower and ratio capability, the GF-2000 makes them available for those that do. The available options for the GF-2000 include a hollow mainshaft and counter shaft, titanium shifter, and REM micropolished gears. The titanium shifter option saves approximately 3 lb. and the hollow mainshaft and countershaft saves approximately 4 lb.

The GF-2000 clutchless 5 speed is the latest development in transmission technology. Developed specifically for professional Pro Stock teams, this transmission has endured countless hours of research and development and an equally rigorous testing agenda. It has now been made available to the general racing public to further reinforce the fact that G-Force is committed to bringing the best possible products to the racer.
GF-5R 5-Speed Transmission

The GF-5R transmission has a wide range of applications. Some of these often include: drag racing (both clutchless and clutch assisted), road racing, off road, and street/strip vehicles. Like the G-101, this transmission can be used as a 4-speed if an overdrive is desired, or a 4th gear if 1:1 is not adequate. This transmission also has many custom applications which may include: dragsters or roadsters, import vehicles, salt flat vehicles, and open road racing. The possibilities for using this transmission are virtually endless.Like all of our models, this transmission comes with your choice of a Long H-Pattern or Vertical Gate shifter. An air shifter can be specified as optional for drag racing applications as well.

Other available options for this model are a magnesium case (which saves 10 pounds), REM micropolished gears, needle bearing output (with includes Mark Williams hardened yoke), and a torsion bar. The torsion bar option is essentially what it sounds like. This is a long bar that runs through a hollow countershaft. This bar is connected to the input drive set at one end and to the rear of the counter shaft at the other end via splines. The idea behind the torsion bar is that the power transfers through this bar and consequently twists it slightly, but only for an instant. This power is then transferred to the counter shaft itself (the outer tube), thus driving the vehicle forward. This twisting action helps relieve some of the impact that normally gets transferred directly to the gears. This option is mostly utilized in considerably heavy cars (generally 3,000 lb. or more) or cars with a very "stiff" clutch.

Most drag racing clutches today need only a few hundred pounds of pressure to perform well. The more the clutch pressure, the more impact that transfers to the gear teeth. The clutch technology utilized in a vehicle is largely dependent upon the type of transmission used. When using a high performance transmission such as the GF-5R, it is very important to consider these things.

The GF-5R 5 speed transmission is most definitely a high performance unit. This transmission has benefited from years of development and has proven its' worth in the realm high performance. With proven excessive horsepower handling capability and low price as compared to its' closest competitors, it is without question the best value in 5 speed racing transmission technology.

G-101 4-Speed Transmission

The G-101 racing 4-speed transmission is the ultimate in 4-speed performance. This transmission can be built as a clutchless or clutch assisted model and has a wide range of applications. The G-101 is primarily used for drag racing only, but can also be used in street/strip  vehicles. This transmission is capable of handling the power of some of the fastest Super Stock, Stock, NMRA, NMCA, NSCA, and import vehicles. The G-101 has virtually endless drag racing applications where a 'super duty' clutch assisted transmission is required. The gears in this model are extra wide to ensure long gear life and optimum performance. This transmission can be used with a Long H-pattern or Vertical Gate shifter. Many of the Super Stock and NSCA competitors have switched to the G-101 for improved reliability.

Available options are a magnesium case option and needle bearing output. The magnesium case option saves approximately 6 lb. over the aluminum version and the needle bearing output is ideal for nearly any application that involves an exceptionally high-reving engine and/or excessive horsepower.

Excessive power handling is what the G-101 is all about. This transmission is without a doubt the best value in 4 speed transmission technology due to its' exceptional power handling and low price. Available with nearly any ratio you can think of, the G-101 is the ultimate 4 speed. For 4 speed applications in excess of 1000 horsepower the GF-5R model is recommended.

G-Force Street 5-Speed Transmission

The much anticipated G-Force Street 5-Speed upgrade kits are now available. These kits allow for substantially increased horsepower handling capabilities while utilizing the factory T-5 location and mounting dimensions. This simplifies installation tremendously and assures the stock look, if so desired. For vehicles not already running a T-5, an installation kit may be available for your specific application. While the G-Force Street 5-Speed conversion may look identical on the outside to a stock T-5, rest assured that they are vastly different on the inside.

The kits are available in synchronized, dog ring straight cut and helical cut dog ring (NMRA Approved) versions and feature high nickel gears, a heavy duty 26 spline input shaft, and an available 9310 mainshaft upgrade. There is even an optional steel shift fork upgrade. The race only dog ring kits utilize straight-cut gears to cope with the more aggressive dog ring engagement, while the synchronized kit features helical-cut gears for better noise reduction while still retaining extra gear width.

Entirely new transmissions with the kit pre-installed are available if you don't already have a T-5. This assures all new parts are utilized and also gives you the peace of mind knowing that your transmission was assembled by highly skilled technicians.

If a used T-5 is available to you, even a broken one, it can be sent back for the upgrade installation and all worn out or broken parts will be repaired or replaced, at our discretion, with new or remanufactured parts. As long as the case is good, we can use it. Every upgrade kit even comes with the required oil. This oil must be run with the upgrade kit to insure optimum performance and durability. Also, the shifter installation on our conversions is identical to a stock T-5, so any existing stock or aftermarket shifter can be installed. We recommend the use of the Pro-5.0 aftermarket shifter. Normally the stock T-5 is rated at about 300 ft-lb of torque capacity. While this is fine for stock or lightly modified engine combinations, especially running small street tires, it isn't generally enough for most of today's high powered street/strip engine combinations, especially those running bigger, more aggressive tires. This is where the G-Force Street 5-Speed kit comes into play. Although we do not like to put torque or horsepower ratings on our products due to the vast differences in clutch, engine, chassis, tire, and mounting combinations, we can give a very rough estimate. There are simply too many variables to consider when trying to figure out how much power or torque a transmission will take in a particular application. Generally, it can be assumed that with the available upgraded mainshaft, the G-Force Street 5-Speed kit will handle roughly 600 hp or 500 ft-lb. or torque in a 3300 lb. vehicle running drag radials at the track with a moderate clutch upgrade. Obviously this is just a rough estimate regarding the power and torque handling capability, but it should give some idea as to what the G-Force Street 5-Speed kit will handle in your particular application. Our Street 5-Speed kits are currently available with the preferred 2.94, 1.94, 1.34, 1.00 ratios in gears 1 thru 4, and because most performance enthusiasts run a relatively steep rear gear, our synchronized kit utilizes a .59 overdrive. This is slightly taller than the stock .68 or .63 ratio and allows the engine to turn less RPM at cruising speed. This equates to less engine wear and better gas mileage while still maintaining incredible acceleration in the first 4 gears - amazing! We are currently working on more ratios for both kits, including a special dog-ring-only road race ratio.

G-Force Street 6-Speed Transmission

After months of testing, G-Force is proud to introduce the latest product in our ever-expanding high performance transmission lineup. The G-Force Street 6-Speed upgrade kit is now in production and available for any T-56 variation. Whether you have a power adder or just big cubic inches, we know this is what you have been waiting for. We have TRUE bolt-in kits to fit Viper, Corvette, Camaro, and Cobra applications along with custom installation kits that allow for an even wider range of installations. With the optional G-Force mainshafts, these kits have the ability to handle approximately 900* horsepower and 800 ft-lb. of torque depending on the application. Our kit combines the strength of a full-out race transmission with the factory look, drivability, and fit of an OEM installation. The G-Force Street 6-Speed conversion requires no case, tailhousing, or shifter modifications to your existing T-56. This means that your stock mounting hardware and dimensions will be utilized. This is not a one-size-fits-all kit. We have kits specifically designed for each application including special inputs for each vehicle.

In order to achieve the exceptional horsepower and torque handling abilities this kit has to offer, G-Force has again gone back to its racing heritage. While totally reengineering the gear design and tooth profile, we also added gear width wherever possible and have gone with our vast experience in terms of material selection. We use a proven 9310 alloy material for the gears themselves and a slightly different alloy for the synchronizer sleeves and the input shaft. This means exceptional gear strength and increased synchronizer ring wear resistance. Also, gears 2nd, 3rd, and 4th all have replaceable synchronizer sleeves. If you happen to wear out the engagement teeth on the front of the gear, just replace it with a slip-in piece. There is no need to buy the gear when doing this. This concept also works the other way as well. In the unlikely event that you need to replace a gear, you only have to replace a gear and not an assembly, thus saving an additional expenditure. These kits utilize the factory overdrive gears and mainshaft while essentially replacing all the other gears and shafts in the transmission.

These G-Force Street 6-Speed kits feature helical gearing to maintain a comfortable noise level while still maintaining exceptional strength.

While slightly noisier than a stock T-56, the increased gear noise in not excessive and nothing like a straightcut, race-only transmission. We have tested slightly differing designs to come up with the best strength/quietness levels possible when dealing with the excessive power that these kits are made to cope with.

To further enhance the performance of your T-56, G-Force has come up with some additional performance options. Quicker, smoother shifting is always a plus when driving any manual transmission, and this is why G-Force has manufactured a triple cone conversion for your Viper, Camaro, or Cobra. While normally found only in the C5 Corvette applications, this conversion allows for the installation of the superior shifting triple cone synchronizer setup to be installed into any T-56. The T-56 normally comes with triple cone synchronizers only on 1st and 2nd gears, but our kit allows for the use of the triple cone setup in 3rd and 4th gears as well, greatly enhancing the shifting quickness of these gears. This kit includes the 3rd gear for the mainshaft, the input shaft with the input gear, the 3rd and 4th triple cone synchronizer and hub setup, and a special G-Force mainshaft. If you own a C5 Corvette, you already have this setup in your transmission. We do, however, have upgraded mainshafts made specifically for the C5 transmission. If you are looking for a transmission to be used in a project car or just want to trade in your worn out T-56, G-Force can build you a complete unit with our gear kit already installed. We can use a new or remanufactured core depending on what you would like.

*Obviously, power and torque ratings vary more or less depending upon weight, clutch, tire, RPM, etc.
