From the beginning Cale Aronson has been being groomed for a career in IHRA Pro Stock, coming from a family with a heavy background in the sport. Cale’s father Chuck was one of the early racers to utilize the now dominate "Mountain Motor", along side of Jon Kaase. In 1982 Chuck made his way quickly to the number two spot in points in the AHRA Pro Stock category, winning 5 races that season. In 1983 Chuck went a step further when he took home the AHRA Pro Stock World Championship winning 12 out of 14 races and placing in the runner-up spot in the other two events. In that same year he was named the IHRA Rookie of the Year.

From an early age Cale was spending his days in the shop learning how to do what seemed to come natural to his father. Growing up in the sport has allowed for Cale to have an extensive knowledge of the sport and utilize it in his own endeavors. Cale has been making his way up through the NMRA (National Mustang Racers Association) and Fun Ford Weekend events running in two different classes. Cale started off running in the highly contested all motor small block class which has been affectionately named the "Mini Pro Stock" class. He placed 4th in points his Rookie season and proceeded to build a new car. Working with the Ford Racing Performance Parts marketing department he secured and built one of the first 2005 Mustangs to be run in the nationally crazed class of 10.5W Outlaw. With Jon Kaase supplying the power for both cars, Cale never seemed to be under powered, and always made each pass down the track. While working on his 2005 Boss 698 Mustang, he was also crew chiefing for the Matt Jones, the man who purchased his former 2003 all motor small block car. While touring for a full year with Matt Jones, the duo was able to deafeat every car they faced, going undefeated for the season. Together they set the National Elapse Time Record, and National MPH Record for an all motor small block True 10.5 car.

The 2005 Boss Mustang Outlaw 10.5 car made headlines everywhere in the racing industry. Cale became the first racer to win a national event in Outlaw with a non-power adder car and he remains alone on that list today! After running the car for a little over a season, Cale switched the car over to running two stages of nitrous oxide, and kept right on showing how consistency could win! Never truly wanting to go down the route of a power adder, Aronson was quickly starting to put together a new plan that would set him up in a Jerry Haas built IHRA Pro Stock car.

Cale has always continued to be involved throughout the years in the high performance business in different areas, including publications, public relations, advertising, high performance consultation, and sales and much more. He has spent a large amount of time helping other racers reach the levels of competition that they wish to achieve. He has been given many opportunities to show his knowledge and rightful place in the industry. He has written for countless national publications and online forum/magazines. He has performed numerous consultation jobs for teams who are working on new programs, and he has continued to pursue his own racing career.

Aronson Motorsports was able to obtain a 2005 Pro Stock Escort that was in top notch condition just in time for testing, before the 2008 IHRA season. The Aronson’s made note that this was to be their testing and learning season. They had made plans to work on developing some new technology for the car, and to get used to different configurations that the car could run. They decided to attend a limited race schedule for the season and simply focus on learning.

Aronson Motorsports has deeply seeded roots in the Mountain Motor Pro Stock class. Cale’s father, Chuck Aronson, pioneered the way along with many of the legends of the sports to pave the way for modern day "Mountain Motors". Chuck started out like any other kid in the 50's, fixing up his cars and running in local grudges along old black top roads, and then transitioned into running at a local 1/8th mile and winning heavily. By the late 70's Chuck decided it was time to take a shot at Pro Stock and run on the national level. By 1983 he had won a world championship in AHRA Pro Stock with help from Jon Kaase and Don Hardy Race Cars. He was also named the IHRA Rookie of the Year in 1983 as well. Chuck was Jon Kaase’s very first customer after he left Dyno Don Nickelson to open his own engine shop. The two entities have a very long and loyal relationship and Kaase remains the team’s horsepower provider to this day.

Today his son Cale Aronson is leading the way in the teams’ new ventures into Pro Stock. Cale has tuned for many types of cars including turbo, supercharged, nitrous, and N/A. He cut his teeth in the highly competitive world of all motor small block racing, where he ran his 2003 Mustang to mid 8 second times with the use of a Sintered Iron clutch and a 397 cid Kaase engine packing more than 3300 lbs. After selling the car to close friend, Cale continued to assume the crew chief duties, winning two consecutive championships. The car was undefeated for two season and went 184 rounds without a loss.

From there Cale went on to debut the first 2005 body style Mustang in Outlaw 10.5 competition. Sticking to his Pro Stock roots, he was the first and only to win a National Event in the traditional Outlaw 10.5W class, racing without the use of a Power Adder. The rules soon became advantageous towards power adders and the Aronson Motorsports team only found it logical to head back to pro stock.

Cale is now heading up the Aronson Motorsports efforts in the highly competitive Extreme Pro Stock category of the American Drag Racing League. The team is currently running a Jerry Haas built 2010 Mustang with a Jon Kaase Racing Engines 825 inch Hemi. Cale is among a dying breed of crew chiefs/drivers who oversee every aspect of their racing operation, and exhibit exceptional talent behind the wheel. In his rookie season with the ADRL, he was given the nickname of ".00 Aronson" and remains a force to be reckoned with within the class. He is also known for doing a lot with very little. During his rookie year with the ADRL he finished 6th in points, on a budget that most in the class wouldn’t even consider possible, and doing so with a skeleton crew that consist of himself, his seventy two year old father, and his fiancé. Such a budget requires more hard work and dedication as a whole, and a better understanding of how to budget a race team while making every last sponsorship dollar count towards performance. Cale’s degree in speech and organizational communications has proven more than valuable; he has maintained the ability to acquire sponsorship and marketing partners in the automotive industry, something that his competitors have paid close attention to.

Tinzy Smith is not only Cale’s fiancé, but is also responsible for servicing and setting up the clutch between rounds, as well as working on data acquisition, and all other needed tasks. She has been featured in Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords, is a fan favorite for autographs, has been featured in many on-air interviews, as well as maintains a strong fan base that grows at each event. She has spent the past 6 years working as part of the Aronson team and has a work ethic second to none.
